First of all, Thanks for visiting my website and thank you for being interested in my blog. This is my first attempt at blogging, so don’t hesitate to e-mail me if you have any questions, concerns, or rebuttals. I love spirited conversations!

The benefits of massage are, at last, being noticed, studied and documented. All I can say is, It’s about time! Massage has been used to relieve pain, and to heal a variety of illnesses and ailment since 2,700 B.C. Ever notice how you instinctively rub your elbow or leg when you wack it on something unyielding? This is massage at it’s most basic level. We do this because, time after time, it helps to alleviate the pain.

Massage is being extensively researched and studies show that it is helpful for a variety of conditions. Such as: Stress relief, anxiety and depression, pain, stiffness, blood pressure control, sports related injuries, and boosting immunity. Just to name a few!

To be fair, massage is NOT a substitute for regular medical care and if you are treating a specific condition with a physician, it’s a good idea to ask them if they think a massage may be helpful. More often than not, I believe the answer you will get will be, YES!
